The site is small and sloping and has considerable shade to
the rear. The clients wished to be able to enjoy the distant views to the sea
and some winter sun.

A pond was desired for its cooling effect in the summer, the
sound of water and at a later date as a home for the family turtle.

The resulting garden is well utilised and is a peaceful place
to enjoy the views. The multiple levels created by the decking provide plenty of
seating spots. The colours used are harmonious and restful and the garden
provides a very attractive welcome to the home.

An attractive low water use garden was required to replace
the dead lawn and create an appealing and interesting entry to the property.
